Dear People of The Dearborn Academy;
We hope everyone is well and well as we continue the fight against the pandemic and Covid-19. We would like to inform you that next year's back to school plan has been approved by The Dearborn Academy School Educational Council. As students will learn five days a week whether in the school building or at home. Since Michigan is in stage 4 we will have two options:
Option 1: Distance learning model from home where students engage with the teacher in the distance learning form from home
Option 2: Distance learning model in school where students engage with the teacher in the distance learning form from school
Please note that option 2 is only available for nursery students until grade 2 to satisfy the needs of students due to the work of parents and parents and on a first come first serve basis. The case is also considered separately for middle grade students. Please use the link below to complete the survey for the academic year 2020-2021:

The GSRP is Michigan’s state-funded preschool program for four-year-old children with life factors which may place them at risk for educational failure. Research indicates that children provided with high-quality preschool experience show significant positive developmental differences when compared to children with the same backgrounds who did not attend a high-quality program. To strengthen learning at home and strengthen positive child outcomes, the program provides for active and continuous involvement of families in the learning process.
The Dearborn Academy GSRP Program is “Developed under a grant awarded by Michigan Department of Education”

The Dearborn Academy participated in a Math Competition on Saturday, February 13th, 2016. 10 of the Academy’s Middle School students participated in the Math Competition. Thanks to all the efforts of Mrs. Karazim with her After-School Math Club. The Dearborn Academy group worked diligently for close to four hours competing against several schools.
One of the Academy’ 8th graders, SH, made it to the final round and put up a good fight. The Dearborn Academy was recognized as a newcomer and received a trophy, which will take its place of honor in the vestibule showcase on Wednesday Feb. 17, 2016.
Much appreciation goes out to Mrs. Karazim for her time, attentiveness and persistence throughout the year. Her determination paid off as our kiddos made us all so proud. Thank you also to Mr. Mike Burton for getting to school super early to make sure the bus was toasty on the coldest day of the season. You rock, Mr. Mike!
Please take a moment to acknowledge Mrs. Karazim and Mr. Mike for championing our kiddos as well as our math club students for all their conscientious endeavors. |

The Dearborn Academy Student council was thrilled to bring The Ned Show to The Dearborn Academy in on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. The assembly was for K-5 students. The assembly promotes character building and is built around three principals: Never give up, encourage others, and do your best!
Ned stands for "Never give up, encourage others, and do your best!"
Part of the assembly is based around applying the three principals to learning new skills...yo-yoing!
Gary and Ned shared their adventures with students while reminding them to live by the three Ned rules each and every day. Gary showed off his amazing yo-yo skills and students were able to purchase yo-yos for the two weeks following the assembly.
The Dearborn Academy proudly hosted the
